Antique Double Sided Wooden Jointed Gentleman Toy

A wonderfully expressive antique wooden jointed figure, hand carved and painted with two distinct personalities. One side presents a gentleman in a muted green coat with a reserved expression, while the reverse reveals a more animated character dressed in deep burgundy with a subtle smile. The carved head is double sided, allowing the figure to be flipped to reveal each face, while articulated arms and legs add movement and charm.

Crafted from painted wood with pegged joints and original stringing, this piece shows beautiful age throughout, including worn paint, softened edges, and the unmistakable patina that only time can create.
